Scene Stormers is a live scene-writing workshop for fiction writers who want tighter pacing, deeper emotion, and unforgettable moments on the page. Five experienced editors and story coaches will lead you through through six live workshops, personalized 1-1 feedback on your writing, and supportive peer discussion. Workshops are optimally capped at 20.

Allison Fairhurst
Allison Fairhurst studied Literature and Creative Writing before certifying as a developmental editor and coach. Her favourite books contain some level of the uncanny; elements of fantasy, of the supernatural, paired with a romantic or friendship bond. Allison’s goal is to help authors tell stories in an organic, structured way.

Ben Stadig
Ben Stadig is a Connecticut-based writer and developmental editor passionate about helping other writers improve their craft. After majoring in journalism and working for regional newspapers and public radio, he pursued a career in advertising and marketing before transitioning to focus on writing and editing full-time.

Dave Reed
Dave Reed, the Book Shaman™, is a full-time developmental editor, book coach, and an award-winning author of fantasy and science fiction from Georgetown, Texas. He has been editing fiction and coaching writers professionally since 2019. His core belief is Better stories make better people.™

Julia Blair
Julia Blair believes good writers are made, not born. A developmental editor and story coach with more than a decade of experience, she loves untangling plot knots, asking inconvenient questions, and helping writers discover the story they were trying to tell all along.

Kallista Ann
Kallista Ann is a developmental editor and book coach who helps romance, horror, and fantasy writers create stories they are proud of. She does that through editorial feedback and guiding writers in skill-building. She’s certified with Author Accelerator. When not editing, she’s a chess enthusiast and a musical theatre nerd.
